The successful candidate will be able to:
Assist the surgical team with setting up and opening sterile supplies, transporting the patient, and positioning the patient with appropriate padding Assist in preparation of surgical suite and completion of department tasks Understand and incorporate infection control practices Understand and employ foundational knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical conscience Demonstrate personal growth by seeking out and incorporating emerging best practices and technologies Actively participate in the surgical Time Out process Anticipate needs of the surgeon and assist as appropriate Perform surgical prep per surgeon's directive Perform closure of subcutaneous and skin layers per surgeon's directive QualificationsWhat You'll Bring Surgical First Assistant certification 1 year of Surgical First Assistant expereince preferred BLS Recommended Skills Basic Life Support Hemostasis Infection Control Perioperative Surgical Procedures Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
